Hungarian foundation „Chance for stability” and the Centre for European studies of the Szeged University initiated the project which will include a number of seminars in the following months on the topic of European Union, its law, history, policy, instutional organisation, economy, culture, media, Schengen zone.

The courses, organised at the SzegedUniversity, will be attended by students, public administration employees, representatives of local self-governments, NGO’s, small and medium enterprises, religious communities, education.

These projects are the concretization of the Memorandum on cooperation between Hungaryand Serbiain the area of EU integrations, signed in Belgradeby the Secretary General of the Serbian European Integration Office Radmila Milivojevic and the Hungarian Foreign Ministry Political Director Ivan Udvardi.

The announced seminars for May and June 2005:

1. «Conference on conflict prevention» – 11 May, Belgrade

2. «EU migration policy», second course on Hungarian experiences in harmonisation of migration, visa and asylum policy, and on EU regulations in this area - 18 May, Belgrade

3. «Legislation in the field of culture» - 24 and 25 May, Belgrade

4. «The role of cultural centres», seminar on cooperation between public and private sector in the interest of cultural centres – from 6 to 9 June, Szeged

Seminars held in April 2005:

1. «European space of freedom, safety and law», the seminar on legal and institutional system of standards according to the Schengen agreement

2. «Managing the project cycles», workshop on project planning, preparation and realisation of tender and the monitoring thereof

3. «EU Migration policy», the seminar on Hungarian experiences in harmonization of migration, visa and asylum policies, as well as in relation to EU provisions in this area

4. «Flow of information in the European Union, the place and role of media in European integrations», seminar on media contribution to promotion of European values, sources of information, regional cooperation between the media.
